12:00 pm Electronic Information in Criminal Proceedings & Ethics of Electronic Information

“Electronic information permeates the Nation.  Not surprisingly, electronic information is often the focus of criminal investigations and prosecutions, State or federal. Use of electronic information in criminal investigations and prosecutions can raise significant constitutional and statutory questions. Attorneys use electronic information on a regular–and increasing–basis. We use it to communicate, conduct research, and reach out to clients. The use of electronic information raises core issues of, among others, competence and the maintenance of client confidences. Our second 60-minute segment will consider those issues.”

This program has been approved for 2.0 hours of total NJ CLE credit. Of these 1.0 qualify as 1.0 hour of credit for ethics/professionalism.

Location
Bergen County Bar Association, The George W. Newman Law Building, 15 Bergen Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601

Ronald J. Hedges, Former US Magistrate for the District of New Jersey
