Bergen County Surrogate’s Court seeks a paralegal or administrative assistant to assist the court division with administrative support services and other related duties as required by the supervising attorney. This position will primarily involve adult guardianship matters, but may also include probate, trusts, administration, minor guardianships, and/or adoptions.
Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to the following: answering telephone calls; meeting with members of the public; data entry; case management in eCourts, including uploading of digital court records; corresponding with clients, legal counsel, and court staff; maintaining court calendar; organize confidential Superior Court files; preparing correspondence and court orders as needed; preparing and maintaining case lists for the Administrative Office of the Courts.
Must be proficient in eCourts and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
This is a full-time in-person position.
