This program will provide a brief overview of the institutional Medicaid program and discuss how to request Medicaid planning the in the context of a guardianship matter. The program will include a discussion of the role of the court-appointed attorney and/or guardian ad litem in reviewing a request for Medicaid planning and the ethical responsibilities of the attorneys involved. The program will be enhanced by a judicial perspective.
